About the Role:
jaris is looking for a small business Loan Operations Analyst for our growing Operations team. The Loan Operations Analyst will approve small business loans, facilitate loan renewals, and help jaris' partners onboard their merchant customers with new loan opportunities. Additionally, they will provide the entire jaris team with insights about the merchants we serve. The Loan Operations Analyst will quickly become an expert in our credit products and have an opportunity to impact the product roadmap and merchant experience on a small, agile team. This is an onsite role based out of our Burlingame HQ.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of jaris' business and combine that knowledge with an understanding of industry standards to develop and deliver on Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure adherence to corporate underwriting policies and guidelines.
- Verify entities in accordance with the company's Customer Identification Program.
- Make discretionary decisions based on experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage internal and external data to automate lending decisions.
- Work closely with jaris partners' sales teams to fulfill new customer acquisition and customer requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and continue improving our internal loan origination system.
- Provide insightful feedback to internal teams to report and resolve issues and provide insights on our customer base.
- Review and analyze applicant financial data to determine creditworthiness.
- Facilitate loan renewals for existing borrowers.
- Manage daily queue activity to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Build and maintain customer service relationships with borrowers through an omnichannel approach.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial underwriting preferred.
- Working knowledge of lending regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, startup environment.
- Engage in teamwork and collaborate with other teams while working independently.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven project management and time management skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
- Experience managing vendors in financial services is a plus.
- Experience in a high-growth fintech environment is a plus.
- Ability to work HQ onsite.
Applicants located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the expected annual base compensation range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000. Final offers may vary within the range provided based on prior experience, expertise, skills and other factors.
