Position Summary/Objective
This position reports to the Senior Director of Legal. It is a shared services position for FASTSIGNS International, Inc., GTN Capital Group, LLC, Suite Management Franchising, LLC, and Camp Bow Wow Franchising, Inc. (“Companies”). The candidate would work with the Legal Team (General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, Sr. Director of Legal and Paralegals) on legal matters involving all aspects of the business and a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions. The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and maintaining legal documents related to compliance for all Companies.
Essential Functions
- Manage franchisee insurance and financial compliance, manage compliance with franchisee brand standards, and drafting from existing templates;
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to franchisee compliance issues;
- Investigate compliance issues, work with franchisees to rectify problems, and ensure timely resolution with minimal business disruption;
- Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance status, including any areas of concern or non-compliance. Provide actionable recommendations;
- Undertake special assignments and research, as requested;
- Gather the information to issue default notices, termination, and penalty letters;
- Assist in collecting incoming franchisee compliance information, which includes franchisee insurance, franchise ownership, entity formation, resolutions, partnership documents, Franchise Agreement key dates and milestones;
- Assist in creating and updating compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure all documentation is accurate and readily available;
- Basic maintenance and monitoring of franchisee leases and lease abstracts;
- Communicate and provide other departments with information regarding franchise agreements and other franchisee-related information;
- Assist in maintaining all legal documentation, electronic files, and databases to ensure current and accurate information is available; and
- Work with collection firm regarding franchisees that closed and owe money to the Companies.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (onsite or remote). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,smartphones, video conferencing, webinars, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets, shredding and fax machines.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. Must be able to lift up to must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, Exempt position of at least 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Education And Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance or related role, preferably within a franchise or multi-location business environment.
- Preferably seeking candidates with franchise experience; however, applicants with a background in transactional, real estate, or general corporate practice will also be considered.
- A Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not required.
