Description
As a Remediation Project Manager, you will lead and oversee various environmental projects, ensuring their successful completion while upholding high standards of quality and client satisfaction. Working closely with your team and clients, you will manage and improve project outcomes, resolve issues, and foster strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage and supervise projects to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications. Address any issues promptly and maintain accurate documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures and special client instructions. Handle any deficiencies and ensure regulatory reporting is completed accurately.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party contractors. Address any concerns or grievances, providing transparency and solutions to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members, offering coaching and development opportunities to enhance performance and job satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with senior management to analyze and improve business processes across departments.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, project management teams, and senior leadership. Handle all internal and external communications promptly and professionally.
- Administrative Duties: Manage daily operations efficiently, assist in the training and development of project managers, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Waste Management, Health, Safety, Emergency Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience and training are also acceptable.
- Experience: At least 7 years in a managerial role with direct experience in hazardous material response and emergency spill response.
- Certifications: HAZWOPER, IHMM, RCRA, DOT, OSHA training certificates.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Ability to manage large volumes of data and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform various physical tasks as needed. Must have good vision, color perception, and hearing.
- Work Conditions: Office-based or remote, with potential travel to project sites in various weather conditions. Flexibility with work hours may be required.
