Agilent is seeking a highly motivated, competitive, enthusiastic, people-oriented person to join our inside sales team as a Biopharma Market Specialist selling into our (either Southwest or North California) sales district to expand the market penetration for Agilent’s chromatography and mass spectrometry portfolio.
As a market specialist, you will be primarily responsible for identifying, nurturing, and closing orders for customers who are not actively purchasing chromatography and mass spectrometry equipment from Agilent in the highly competitive biopharma market in the specific geography. These actions will be done digitally primarily through phone and email. Secondary responsibility includes supporting existing accounts within the territory alongside the field sales team. Success will involve leveraging the larger Agilent team of product specialists, field reps, application engineers, marketing, and service to develop strategies and deploy tactics to attract new buyers to Agilent.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Drive sales cycle and forecast sales accurately for the chromatography and mass spectrometry sales within territory
- Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Proactively prospect for new customers and business leveraging digital tools and analytics
- Collaborate across all Agilent channels including consumable sales, service sales, service delivery, diagnostic and genomics sales, marketing & customer service
- Provide timely responses to all customer requests
- Apply rigor to CRM updates including forecasting, marketing attributes, and customer contact information

Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
- 4+ years of life science sales experience or lab experience using liquid chromatography
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently
- With sales experience and proficiency preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
- Experience and comfort using digital selling tools
- Excellent verbal, written and phone communication skills, with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers via phone and email
- Requires general proficiency with Microsoft Office, systems and procedures to accomplish job
- Experience with SAP CRM a plus
The US pay range for this full-time position is $44.93 - $88.36/hr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
