Employment Information
- Employment Status: Full-time position.
- Compensation: Salaried or hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule: MTF operates 365 days a year, 24⁄7, with six 12.5-hour periods and one 8.5-hour period per two-week period (including uncompensated meal breaks).
Requirements
- Degree: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Nursing, or an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Experience: Six months in an inpatient behavioral health unit within the last 24 months.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
Core Duties
- Coordinate patient care with a wide array of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and established guidelines.
- Perform physical exams and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications and wound care, along with personalized interventions.
- Supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Make patient care assignments based on personnel skill levels.
- React promptly in emergency situations by recognizing adverse signs and symptoms.
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse groups to inform the healthcare team and benefit the patient/family.
- Arrange referral appointments and specialty care as needed.
- Conduct research to support improved practice and patient outcomes.
