About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Design Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist the Design Managers with various retail construction projects, including new stores, relocations, pop-ups, and refreshes. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from initial test fits to store opening while supporting the design phase, project management, and construction phase to meet our high-quality standards and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Design Managers to develop and track project milestones for on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage smaller scale projects such as pop-ups, refreshes, or facility design initiatives.
- Contribute to the design development of projects from inception to completion, including store layouts, storefront design, finish selections, and drawing set reviews.
- Liaise with Visual Merchandising, Operations, and Creative departments to ensure each project aligns with our brand standards.
- Create Photoshop renderings and SketchUp models to support weekly design presentations.
- Track and ensure timely delivery of weekly reports from consultants and vendors.
- Organize and maintain project records, schedules, and sample reviews.
- Represent our brand to external partners, including architects, engineers, and contractors, on project design, development, and delivery issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, cross-functional teams, and landlords to ensure project success.
- Maintain and monitor design standards and implementations in coordination with our consultants.
- Facilitate the timely completion of project proposals from external consultants and vendors, and provide reviewed invoices to the Finance and Operations teams.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 4+ years of design and project management experience, preferably in hospitality or retail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight and shifting timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
- Passion for design and creative problem-solving.
- Knowledge of FFE schedules, design drawing set procedures, and retail-related ADA compliance, sustainability, and LEED certification is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid schedule, with monthly in-office days as required.

- The salary range for this role is \(75,000 - \)90,000 per year.
