Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the QA Engineer is ensuring the quality and reliability of software products within the Digital Gaming division.
QA Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. The QA Engineer will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).
The QA Engineer plays an important part in our company's product development process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with Company and departmental policies, practices, and procedures. All Company Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company's standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
- Provide effort estimates for QA activities and contribute to project planning.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Test user interfaces for usability, responsiveness, compatibility, and consistency across different devices, operating systems, and browser versions.
- Validate the correct implementation of design specifications.
- Ensure the client-side application functions correctly on various platforms (e.g., web, mobile, desktop).
- Test the integration of hardware components (e.g., cameras, tables) with the software.
- Validate the performance and reliability of hardware-software interactions, ensuring the system performs reliably under various environmental conditions (e.g., different light, network conditions).
- Ensure that the product adheres to relevant gaming regulations and standards.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and retest fixes.
- Work closely with development, product management, and other teams to ensure a unified approach to software quality.
- Provide feedback to the development team on quality and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate regular reports to QA manager on the status of testing activities, including test coverage, test results, and defect metrics.
- Perform job duties in a safe manner.
- Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Experience in the gaming industry, particularly with live dealer games preferred.
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Basic understanding of casino games and the gaming industry.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail to identify subtle issues in complex systems.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining focus and thoroughness during repetitive tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrated experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr Scale, Figma).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
