Role: Outreach and Partnerships Manager

Role Overview:
The Outreach & Partnerships Manager at Electric Potential is responsible for managing the organization's outreach efforts and network of partnerships. This role involves developing and implementing outreach strategies, cultivating new partnerships, and managing relationships with existing partners. The Outreach & Partnerships Manager will oversee partnerships associates, ensuring the successful execution of outreach initiatives and the cultivation of strategic partnerships while reporting updates to the Director of External Affairs. This position requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Duration: 6 months, with the option to commit longer based on performance. This role has a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Outreach & Partnerships team, including partnerships associates.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage target audiences and expand Electric Potential's reach.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual benefit and sustained collaboration.
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand Electric Potential's network and resources.
- Collaborate with the Financial Operations team to identify potential funders, sponsors, paid partners, and donors from partnership conversations, transitioning the direction of the conversation as needed and facilitating connections with the Financial Ops team.
- Develop partnership proposals and agreements that align with organizational goals and objectives in collaboration with the Director of External Affairs and Financial Operations team.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to promote partnerships and outreach initiatives.
- Connect partners with the Digital Media team for potential Content Partnership campaigns.
- Develop and implement systems for tracking and evaluating the impact of outreach efforts and partnerships.
- Prepare regular reports on outreach outcomes, partnership achievements, and areas for improvement for the leadership team.
- Use data and feedback to inform future outreach and partnership strategies.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or proven experience in outreach, partnership management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of outreach strategies, partnership development, and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and partnership management platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in outreach and partnership management software and tools a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an asynchronous remote environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Ability to attend monthly 1:1 meetings with the Director of External Affairs.
- Ability to attend weekly all leadership meetings.
- Ability to attend weekly team or department meetings.
- Ability to attend bi-weekly all hands meetings.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship/volunteer role.
