Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our team. This role will focus on developing and designing for a wide range of the Museum’s digital touch-points. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital products and a knack for UI and visual design that can elevate our current web presence and MOTB's mobile app. This position is foundational to building an in-house product team at the Museum of the Bible and will be a high-impact role with the ability to grow rapidly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and development of new aspects for the Museum’s website
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure product updates meet quality and thematic standards
• Participate in the entire design process from concept to production, including sketching, prototyping, and user testing
• Maintain awareness of current design trends and integrate relevant elements into product designs to enhance visitor engagement
• Prioritize/asses updates and communicate rationale and value to leadership
• Support the design team in daily tasks and project management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, preferably with web-based applications
• Familiar with CMSs and how they work (Prismic)
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and attention to detail
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen interest in history, art, and the bible is highly desirable
