- **Inventory Management:**
- Conduct regular physical counts of automotive parts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering of parts as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the computer system, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations.
- **Data Entry and System Management:**
- Enter inventory data into the computer system and update existing information as required.
- Generate and review inventory reports to ensure accuracy and identify trends or issues.
- Utilize inventory management software effectively to track parts and generate necessary documentation.
- **Organization and Maintenance:**
- Organize the inventory room to ensure efficient use of space and ease of access to parts.
- Implement and maintain a labeling system for easy identification and retrieval of parts.
- Ensure the inventory room is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- **Communication and Coordination:**
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and service teams, to ensure the availability of necessary parts.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues with parts deliveries.
- Provide support and information to technicians and service staff regarding parts availability and specifications.
- **Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify and suggest improvements to inventory processes and procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to inventory management.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an automotive environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move parts as required (less than 15-20lbs)
