We are a growing family-owned restaurant management and events hospitality business based in Washington, DC. We are currently seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator plays a crucial role in our operations, ensuring efficiency and maintaining compliance with company policy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry and a passion for creating a positive work environment for our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities throughout the company to ensure efficiency and maintain compliance with company policy
- Manage agendas, travel plans and appointments for upper management
- Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls and other forms of correspondence
- Supporting the accounting team in all areas, including record-keeping, filing, database entry and budgeting procedures for the company
- Communicating and coordinating with restaurant management teams on invoices and payment
- Create and update databases and filing systems for financial information, personnel and other data
- Track and replace office supplies as necessary to avoid interruptions in standard office procedures
- Submit reports and prepare proposals and presentations as needed
- Assist colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so
- Completing special projects as needed
- Providing administrative assistance to the leadership team as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two to three years of management experience in an office setting
- Hospitality industry experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Google Drive and phone systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Data entry, proficiency in QuickBooks or accounts receivable is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
