About The Role
The Senior Project Manager will manage the implementation of our exciting iOS/Android Mobile Applications as well as sensors deployments with clients across the globe. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in business requirements analysis, functional and technical designs and specifications, testing, working with key strategic partners, and more. We're looking for individuals with a proven track record of complex, customer facing projects under demanding timelines.
This role is a senior level, also taking on more general Operations management activities in the region, supporting Sales teams in pre-sales activities, providing a customer focal point for operations and project delivery in US and collaborating with the UK-based Installation Partner Manager to develop and manage regional US partners.
The Senior Project Manager will also contribute to the allocation of work and coaching and support more junior regional project managers in their role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Project Delivery
· Lead strategic sensor and app deployment projects from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project execution.
· Provide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.
· Travel to key sites to assure installation quality and timeliness
· Daily collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
· Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
· Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
· Update or develop documentation on processes that are critical to successfully implementing your projects.
· Facilitate formal turn-over with onsite team, support partners and monitor deliverables until agreed upon launch/project milestone is achieved.
Partnership development
· Developing and managing regional partners, assuring cost-effective project delivery
Mentoring / Portfolio Management
· Coach and develop more junior team members to ensure project success.
· Oversight of team portfolio; ensuring projects are delivered to standard
Key Performance Indicators:
- Percentage of change requests invoiced v completed.
- Project effort versus charged.
- Project go live versus hit.
- Margin for billable hours.
- Project profitability.
- Resource utilisation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Qualification in project management would be an advantage.
- 10+ years’ experience in project management in a B2B organisation with exposure to enterprise clients.
- Experience of working with common agile practices within service-oriented environments.
- Experienced in running multiple projects concurrently including scope, requirements, timelines and resource allocation.
- Experience of leading and/or coaching junior team members is desirable.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of a global organization.
- Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status update meetings).
- Strong technical proficiency, especially relating to mobile applications, web applications and development, systems integration and product release and support requirements.
- Excellent organizational, tracking skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - both business facing and Engineering.
- Able to resolve problems quickly and calmly to achieve client goals.
