The Role:
As Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Eazifunds, you will lead the development and execution of the company's technical strategy, overseeing areas such as Engineering, Development, Architecture, Networking, Technical Product Management, and Technical Pre- and Post-Sales Support. You will be responsible for building and managing teams using onshore, nearshore, and offshore staffing models to effectively execute this strategy. In the early stages, you will take a hands-on approach, actively contributing to the design and maintenance of our technology stack while guiding your teams in supporting and sustaining it.
Your role will focus on delivering Eazifunds' products and services with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and operational excellence. Internally, you will collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Risk, and Credit teams, while externally, you'll foster relationships with key stakeholders, including technical leaders from customers and partners, as well as investors.
In the initial phase of the company's growth, the CTO will be fully hands-on, responsible for designing, coding, and supporting Eazifunds' infrastructure, network, and applications contributing 100% to the company's software solutions code base. Working closely with the CEO, COO, and other executives, you will play a crucial role in shaping the business and delivering its first products. This position demands a flexible and adaptable mindset, capable of evolving alongside the business as it scales.
Qualifications:
Subject Matter Expertise
- Development and Engineering of SaaS and Network architecture in both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Proficiency in relevant coding languages.
- Expertise in cybersecurity.
- Web and mobile UX/UI design, development, and implementation.
- Mobile application development and support.
- API development and integration tools/platforms.
- Pre- and post-sales engineering and customer support.

Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in technical and engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, ideally including data science and machine learning. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
- Extensive hands-on experience leading AI and Machine Learning initiatives, including model development and deployment.
- Proven track record in the fintech sector, particularly in lending, credit scoring, and financial inclusion.
- Experience in startups, with a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges of scaling a business.
- Practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Oracle.
Responsibilities:
Technical and Systems
- Lead and own Eazifunds' technical strategy, including Engineering, Development, Architecture, Networking, Technical Product Management, and Pre- and Post-Sales Technical Support.
- Build and manage teams to execute this strategy using a combination of onshore, nearshore, and offshore staffing models.
- Design, architect, support, and maintain the technology stack.
- Ensure the development and continuous support of a robust and secure technical and cybersecurity environment.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, the COO, and CEO to provide technical guidance for both the Enterprise Software and Marketplace businesses.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for all technical aspects of the products and their delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Serve as the "Voice" of Technology for all internal and external stakeholders, including customers and prospects.
- Report on all technology activities, alongside the COO and CEO, to the board and investors.
Sales and Customer Support
- Partner with the COO, VP of Eazifunds Marketplace, and Sales Management to deliver technical pre-sales support.
- Oversee implementation, integration, and ongoing post-launch support for all customers.
- Participate in follow-up sales calls as the Technical Lead to build customer confidence in Eazifunds' offerings.
