We're looking for someone exceptional to join our growing team as a Associate Scientist I/II in the Process Development group .We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Upstream Associate Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in the process development of Lentiviral Vector (LVV) systems, working primarily with shake flasks and benchtop bioreactors, and performing daily culture analyses. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals. What You'll Do:
- Set up, operate, and maintain benchtop bioreactors and shake flask cultures for lentiviral vector (LVV) production, ensuring optimal performance and timely troubleshooting of any issues
- Support the development and optimization of upstream processes for LVV production, including scaling up from shake flasks to bioreactors
- Conduct routine bioprocess analyses to monitor critical parameters such as cell density, viability, metabolic profiles, and other key indicators to ensure process consistency and quality
- Accurately document experimental data and maintain detailed records of all procedures, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, engineers, and other colleagues, to achieve project milestones and drive process improvements
- Present experimental results and updates at departmental meetings, communicating findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques is required; experience with mammalian cell culture is strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment, with a demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methods as needed
