About the Client
Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) that are fast growing and looking to expand their infrastructure to continue providing their clients with reliable and efficient technology solutions.
This role will require you to provide onsite and remote advanced technical support to clients, troubleshooting complex IT issues, and ensuring consistent and smooth operations for their IT infrastructure
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex IT problems across a variety of client environments.
- Offer support for Microsoft Windows servers, desktops, and Active Directory/EntraID.
- Set up and oversee Fortinet firewalls, switches, security systems, and access points, with Cisco Meraki knowledge considered an advantage.
- Conduct regular system maintenance, including applying software updates and security patches to various devices like storage, network, and compute systems.
- Prioritize and manage tickets based on incident urgency or service requests within your area of responsibility.
- Keep clear and detailed records of technical work and solutions provided.
- Collaborate with senior engineers or third-party vendors for issues that need further escalation.
- Stay informed about the latest industry standards and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Work closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
- Foster positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service.
You will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server 2019/2022.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with configuring and supporting Microsoft Azure, including licensing and deployment.
- Proven ability to set up and manage Fortinet firewalls and security solutions.
- Expertise with hypervisors and virtual desktop infrastructures such as VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V; knowledge of Scale Compute is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work well with others.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with a team.
- Eagerness to continuously learn and adapt to emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of the ITIL framework is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel locally around the Houston area (with mileage and expenses reimbursed) and occasionally out of town for company-related events.
Compensation:
$60-$70 per hour.
