Job Description
The Data & Learning Specialist is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and management of the Social Solutions Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) data management platform used across the Covenant House New Jersey. This includes maintaining the ETO data management system, supporting data quality assurance protocols, contributing to CHARTs research projects, reporting outcomes, and developing and conducting program evaluation procedures and projects.
Hybrid- based out of Newark or Atlantic City
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee, maintain, build, and enhance the Efforts to Outcomes data management software to effectively collect data from all the youth we serve, and our different programs and services.
- Drive efforts to maintain database integrity, promote data security, and improve functionality; as well as support site efforts to operationalize ETO, with a focus on formalizing and ensuring data quality practices.
- Build and execute reports in ETO that reflect program activities, outcomes, data quality, and other key indicators.
- Conduct analysis of data to evaluate outcomes. Drive agency program evaluation efforts.
- Use tableau platform to conduct a data analysis and report out findings, trends, etc to varying audiences.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to identify agency program evaluation and reporting needs.
- Identify, conduct, and report on program evaluation projects.
- Monitor data accuracy and completeness, train staff on data entry/reporting requirements as needed.
- Strategically collaborate and effectively coordinate with leadership team to create and revise performance standards.??
- Support CHARTs research projects through data collection, retrieval, analysis, and report writing.
- Research industry standards and best practice related to data collection and program evaluation.
- Collaborate with Covenant House Internationals Research and Evaluation team to learn about federation-wide standards and share best practices. Serve as a liaison to Covenant House Internationals Research, Evaluation, and Learning Team.
- Prepare and present performance reports to staff, management, funders and other internal and external stakeholders.?
- Prepare data needed for grant applications and grant reports.
- Work with development department to support fundraising efforts using program and outcome data.
Required Experience
- Bachelors Degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software; experience using ETO a plus.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to effectively translate technical and analytic issues and concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience creating and providing training and presentations
- Ability to create and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships to advance the mission of the organization and ensure positive outcomes.
