Child Mind Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator in the New York office. The Intake Coordinator works closely with the clinical and administrative teams to support families interested in clinical services at Child Mind Institute. The Intake Coordinator serves as a liaison between clinicians and new patients and families.

Patient Experience Manager this is an non-exempt, full-time, hybrid position (minimum 3 days in office) located in our NYC headquarters office.

Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with new patients via phone and email providing information about the Child Mind Institute intake process and answers to frequently asked questions
- Oversee patient experience from the time patients contact Child Mind Institute to the time they schedule their first appointment
- Complete initial intake screenings, coordinate patient evaluations, and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Review new intakes with the clinical team or use knowledge of the clinical practice for appropriate case assignments
- Provide appropriate follow-up to communicate clinicians’ recommendations for scheduling at Child Mind Institute or externally
- Manage high priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Resolve urgent, sensitive, and confidential issues with discretion and integrity, and strictly protect personal health information
- Assist with training of new support staff and provide team coverage when necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field required
- 1-+years of relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion
- Professional demeanor and attitude; ability to interface with families as well as senior leadership, clinicians, and staff
- Self-starter and team player, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Thorough, accurate, and conscientious about assignments
- Positive attitude, energetic, and interested in working in health care
- Prior experience within a clinical setting preferred
- Passion for the Child Mind Institute’s mission
