Overview:
As a Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in crafting and delivering content that simplifies complex and technical topics, making them engaging and actionable for stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on creating impactful newsletters and developing a variety of communication materials that align with our overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Newsletter Leadership (50-70%)
- Content Creation and Editing: Serve as the lead writer and editor for the monthly Market Leader newsletter. Collaborate with the Enterprise Communication liaison and the Market Leader's team to produce a customized newsletter that reflects market-specific and enterprise-wide news.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that content aligns with the Enterprise Communication strategy by incorporating both new and repurposed content, tailored to the leader’s voice and objectives.
- Editorial Management: Organize and lead editorial and brainstorming meetings. Maintain a detailed editorial calendar to ensure timely content development.
- Formatting and Publishing: Use Amplify to format the newsletter according to established templates. Publish content following training and a trial period.
- Performance Monitoring: Review newsletter metrics and adjust content strategies to enhance engagement based on feedback and readership data.
- Process Improvement: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for newsletter creation, focusing on scalability and best practices.
Ad Hoc Content Development (30-50%)
- Additional Content: Take on additional content creation tasks as needed, particularly during the newsletter pilot phase. Adapt responsibilities based on evolving needs and efficiency improvements.
Required Skills:
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years of experience in news-style writing and editing. Please provide 3-5 samples of your work.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent project planning abilities with a strong attention to detail.
- Priority Management: Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and adhere to strategic goals.
- Clear Communication: Skilled in delivering complex information in a straightforward, jargon-free manner.
