The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within established deadlines and budgets. This role involves acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, and ensuring that projects meet their defined objectives in accordance with PMO guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility and analytical skills necessary to assess business needs and implement effective solutions for the organization.
Responsibilities
• Develop and manage project plans that consistently align with business objectives.
• Oversee daily monitoring, support, and feedback for IT resources, infrastructure, and systems.
• Exhibit confident leadership and effectively influence team members without direct authority.
• Clearly understand and communicate the project’s objectives, scope, expected outcomes, business value, impact, and timeline.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with project teams, business/IT leaders, and stakeholders.
• Manage third-party vendors to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Monitor and maintain established project budgets and expenditures.
• Escalate project risks and issues to appropriate leaders early.
• Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting overall health, KPIs, risks, issues, accomplishments, next steps, and escalation requests.
• Create executive-level project status presentations.
• Facilitate effective project team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with senior and executive-level technology leaders and service owners on project-related matters.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Information Systems or MBA is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, PRINCE2, SCRUM Master, or Six Sigma Green Belt (or above) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in managing medium to large projects, with a preference for experience in operations and financial systems.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work with strong leaders and provide effective customer service.
• Proficiency in Agile, Hybrid Agile, SAP, Microsoft Project, and Jira (not required).
• Experience in change management, business analysis, and data migration is advantageous.
• Strong cultural fit with the organization.
• Ability to travel if needed.
