We're seeking an Agile Coach who is a capable, critical thinker and can step into challenging situations to deliver the most advantageous solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate can work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment and has excellent communication skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As an Agile Coach you will coach, train, and mentor our client’s teams at all levels of the organization on Agile principles. You will cultivate an Agile mindset by demonstrating and teaching values of the Agile Manifesto in addition to the technical skills that form the underlying principles and methods. You will ensure Agile values, ways of working, and frameworks are understood and applied effectively across our client’s organization and teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ experience leading Agile initiatives with a proven background in the software development lifecycle and driving organizations through transformational changes
- 4+ years of experience as an Agile Coach leading Agile training sessions, workshops, ways of working, planning sessions, and creating required documentation and material
- SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) Certification 6.0
- 2+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or similar role/responsibilities
- Experience and knowledge with agile techniques, processes, and tools that enable the rapid definition, design, build, test, and integration of the product or solution
- Experience leading Agile initiatives with a proven background in software development lifecycle and driving organizations through transformational changes
- Experience coaching and building software development teams practicing Scrum, Kanban, DevOps and SAFe
- Extensive experience with one or more agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally etc., preferably Azure DevOps and agile frameworks like Scaled Agile, Scrum, Kanban and DevOps
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how each area in Information Services i.e. Architecture, design, development, test, deployment and operations collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach leaders and agile teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
- Drive ART, cross-team, and departmental planning, collaboration, and coordination.
- Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback loops and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity.
- Facilitate the ART's creation of a feature backlog and the refinement and prioritization of features to be considered in the next PI planning cycle to meet the Feature Definition of Ready.
- Lead agile teams and provide leadership; act as consultant/coach to management in resolving unusually difficult problems.
- Coach delivery teams on identifying risks and dependencies, making commitments, and measuring performance in terms of capacity, velocity, etc.
