Position Overview
Alkami is looking for an Associate Release Manager that supports off-cadence emergency escalations.
The hours for this role will be 3 PM CST to 11 PM CST. You will be a member of a team that enables Alkami to bring its world-class products and experiences to our financial institutions and their consumers and businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in both planned and emergency releases of system updates into a service environment. The role develops the release recommendation and release deployment plan based on input from multiple stakeholders within various product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Responsible for setting up continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for emergency escalations with Application Support and the 24x7 NOC team
- Ensure all feature updates move from development through QA to staging to production seamlessly through automation
- Act as escalation point and be available to support releases as applicable
- Communicate release and/or release process changes effectively at various levels within the organization and on occasion to customers
- Implement best practices and identify opportunities for continuous operational and team improvements
- Execute release plans, coordinating with development, QA, and operations teams
- Ensure timely and efficient deployment of software updates
- Drive communication and coordination across teams to ensure successful releases
- Be involved in the on-call rotations for escalations and support releases as needed
- Execute SOP and best practices while seeking opportunities for continuous operational and team improvements
- Monitor progress to ensure on-time deployment of software releases with high quality
- HOURS: 3 PM CST to 11 PM CST.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of release management experience or support experience
- Ability to participate in on-call duty
- Experience in the release management lifecycle in regards to the SDLC
- Good communication (written and verbal) and problem solving abilities
- Experience working in a customer facing environment
- Expertise with issues tracking/management tools
- Experience with iOS and Android mobile deployments including familiarity with Apple Store Connect and Google Play Console
- Expertise in best practices in ITIL Release and Change Management
- Work across teams in our rapidly growing company and can thrive at a rapid pace
Desired Skills
- Experience with financial systems (banking, lending, operations, payments)
- Experience with improving Release Automation
