People Architects is excited to partner with our Newport Beach CA based client as we recruit for our Social Media Manager. Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing D2C tech-enabled consumer products company that is building a global growth platform, acquiring and evolving e-commerce brands into household brands.
Position Overview:
You will manage the content planning, creation, curation, and story ideation for multiple brands’ that fall within the company umbrella with the help of a small team/ You will work with key digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc., as well as seek out emerging platforms that can help us grow our customer base and brand. Success in this role requires a passion for social media, strong brand understanding, excellent project management skills, an aptitude for measurement and performance monitoring, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and a passion for continuous improvement. Skills in shooting and editing video or illustration and design are a major plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the monthly social media calendar and manage the Social Media Specialist on day-to-day posting and community management.
- Work with the creative team on the creation of photo and video assets such as Instagram stories, social graphics, animated GIFs, and short-form video.
- Track performance of social media campaigns, content, and overall health of the assigned social handles with regular reporting to key stakeholders.
- Have a pulse on who our customers are and who they would most likely follow, trust, and buy from in the social space.
- Partner with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations
- Continuously update social content calendars and provide copy feedback and approval to the Social Media Specialist.
- Help source UGC for the social feeds, as well as specific projects like advertisements, marketing materials, and product launches.
Qualifications (required and preferred):
- 2+ years of related experience in social media/community management with experience managing a small team.
- Experience working with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. and an understanding of their analytics/insights, ideally at a brand or media company.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop unique marketing campaigns.
- Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience shooting and editing video or creating illustrated graphics an added bonus.
- Have a keen eye for detail and ensure every visual element is polished and on-brand.
- Passion for storytelling, listening to what the community has to say, and providing engaging experiences in the social space.
- The ability to work independently on a project.
