Location: Irving, TX
Hybrid with 4 days in office, 1 day remote. M-F 8-5 (flex time available)
MUST BE ABLE TO CONVERT and work directly on W2. This is a 6 month Contract to Hire position.
Must have experience: SQL Database Administration, SQL Server (SSMS, stored procedures, queries, etc.), and experience in both on premise and cloud environments (preferably Azure).
Project Details:
Position: Contract-to-hire (C2H) SQL Developer
Hourly Rate: $55-60 an hour
Conversion Salary: $110-115K
Location: Preferably Irving, TX
Onsite Expectation: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the data warehouse
- Code for data consumption from various sources
- Recent projects involved C development and Python
- Future cloud migration (Microsoft Azure experience is a plus)
Focus: Good cultural fit; someone with insurance (P&C) experience is preferred.
Team Composition:
- 6 on-site team members
- 12-13 offshore contractors
- All team members are titled Data Engineers, with varying experience levels
- A couple of senior systems analysts
Technical Skills:
- T-SQL, stored procedures
- Python, C development, SSRS, SSIS packages
- ETL processes using Python - they have some ETL processes here, Python/C aren’t required but are nice to have
- Potential future use of R
- Working knowledge of Python/C for code review
- Experience with on-prem to cloud projects is ideal
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years as a Developer
- Insurance industry knowledge is a plus
- Candidates from smaller or mid-sized companies are acceptable
Cultural Fit: Important due to the C2H nature of the position
Nice-to-Haves:
- Python proficiency
- Insurance knowledge
- C development expertise
Company Size: Mid-size preferred; cloud experience is helpful, with a preference for Azure over AWS.
