SQL Database Developer
ONSITE in Pasadena, CA
Target Compensation: $100K - $110K + 100% employer paid benefits for employee and dependents + pension plan
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a SQL Database Developer to join our team in Pasadena, California. This role involves developing and implementing SQL, SSIS, SSRS, maintaining and improving the performance of existing database codes, and working closely with our team to ensure all database related issues are timely addressed and resolved.
Responsibilities Include
- Developing and implementing SQL, SSIS, SSRS based on business requirements.
- Applying knowledge of accounting principles such as G/L, A/P, A/R to database development.
- Ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of all databases by monitoring and improving the performance of existing database codes.
- Applying strong understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) to all aspects of the database development process.
- Utilizing various reporting tools to create reports and visualizations for the team.
- Implementing and maintaining database structures to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Utilizing investigation and analytical tools to resolve accounting data issues, and legacy database data issues.
- Collaborating with team members to address and resolve all database related issues.
- Leveraging knowledge of Windows Office tools, MS SQL studio SSIS/SSRS for database development and management.
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure understanding of database changes and implications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and database management is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with Database Objects and Data Warehousing is required.
- Familiarity with AB Testing and creating dashboards is expected.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and techniques is necessary.
- Ability to interpret and compile Business Requirement Documents is critical.
- Experience with SSIS SSRS is beneficial.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is needed.
- Knowledge of basic Accounting Principles is required.
- Proficiency in using different Reporting Tools is desired.
- An understanding of Database Structure and its optimization is important.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
