As a Remote Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your primary focus will be handling inbound calls, clarifying policy coverage, addressing claim inquiries, and assisting policyholders and other stakeholders. We prioritize first contact resolution and strive for high customer satisfaction while maintaining operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls (approx. 70-120 daily) in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Engage with policyholders, providers, and other parties professionally and courteously.
- Stay updated on policy procedures and effectively communicate policy information.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer inquiries via phone, email, or written correspondence.
- Adhere to departmental standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume contact center or similar role.
- Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Remote work experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a smartphone for VPN access.
- Insurance industry experience is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to maintain a quiet, professional home workspace.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Location
Remote work available nationwide (excluding specific regions). Training and ongoing support provided.
Training
- Comprehensive training program lasting 2-3 weeks.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm CST.
- Must have availability between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm CST, Monday to Friday post-training.
Schedule post-training
- Full-time positions only, Monday to Friday.
- No weekend shifts unless overtime is offered.
Equipment
Company-provided equipment, except for a smartphone for VPN access.
