The Role
The Manager of Data Operations will be responsible for deploying key processes in relation to data procedural rules, data accuracy, consistency, quality controls & assurance, and compliance. This will require the development of relationships and collaboration of OMD, Media Partners, and clients. You will also be responsible for and accountable to data quality, consistency, delivery oversight & management. This includes setting up data accuracy evaluations and coordinating data executional processes across the account.
Responsibilities
Project Management and Oversight
- Working with the Data Ops Managing Director, this resource will be responsible for setting up the project plan for a custom extract, transform, and load (ETL) commercial reporting project
- Establish clear timelines and milestones to drive the project through a phased completion
- Working with clients to further understand their needs and refine outcomes, as needed
- Establish the responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed (RACI) working model
- Setup and coordinate the agile methodology for updates and improvements
- Documentation of established processes and efforts to complete milestones
- Acts as the data steward and ensures quality for their assigned projects
Data Accessibility
- Work with various teams to identify the data sources to support client deliverable
- Establish & manage the data connectivity requirements – including frequency, structure, periodicity, ideal data connection efforts, etc.
- Add new data sources for the project delivery, as necessary
- Oversight and coordination to ensure the team has access to required sources
Data Harmonization & Cleansing
- Owns all relevant changes or updates to data consistency measurements, frameworks, and taxonomy naming structures
- Establish, setup, and manage the data harmonization rules and procedures
- Owns, manages, and facilitates the data receipt process and addresses any issues or inconsistencies
- Develops quality assurance (QA) & data delivery consistency improvements or automation checks and/or solutions
- Determine the ideal data model structure for data usage
- Compiles the reporting and prepares the data quality metrics for consistent compliance to governance rules
- Work with and provide oversight to junior team member to ensure the application of correct processing, joining, harmonization, and cleansing rules
- Maintenance, oversight, and documentation the created data model
Leadership Responsibilities
- Develops & maintains a high degree of trust for data inputs, data outputs & deliverables
- Accountable resource and point of escalation for data consistency, accuracy, data issues, and the data quality processes
- Point resource for communication of data quality process, consistency requirements and escalation of issues to the necessary parties
Data Quality & Documentation
- Constructs reliable processes for error/exception handling, error management, and error notification
- Provides standards and adjustment changes to standards across the data quality & accuracy discipline
- Ownership of workflows and visuals reference design for ease of use & clarity of process
- Creates, gathers, and writes requirements documents and quality assurance documentation
- Validates and develops compliance and other reports within the performance reporting platform, or other, as required
Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience working in Analytics, Data Operations, Data Engineering, Data Governance, or Quality Assurance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance and data quality processes in a data warehousing, ETL and Business Intelligence environment
- Working with a media or marketing organization within a data capacity
- Experience utilizing various ETL tools and technology – specifically Alteryx
- Experience using a Business Intelligence (BI) visualization tool (Tableau, Google Studio, PowerBI) – PowerBI & Tableau highly preferred
- Expert with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and deep knowledge of QA processes
- Ability to multi-task and work independently, initiative-taker
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing remote resources – Highly recommended
- Direct experience with SQL database design (preferred)
- Experience within an Agile development environment
- Exceptional organizational & critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates diligence and detail-orientation
- Comfortable working with budgets and numbers – scoping & client expectation setting
- Nice to Have / Beneficial
- Familiarity/experience with Project Management tools like HIVE and Microsoft Teams
- Familiarity/experience with Programming Languages like Python, R, SQL
- Familiarity/experience with Microsoft Power Automate is beneficial
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range
$75,000—$105,000 USD
