Description
The Associate Director of Project Management is responsible for coordination efforts across the agency. He/she manages the assigned project management team members. He/she organizes, monitors, and routes all jobs through the agency for his/her account(s). He/she supports the Director of Project Management with new business projects, department initiatives and helps train direct reports, monitors, evaluates and supervises the workload of the department.
MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION
- The Associate Director of Project Management is the program lead across healthcare client accounts, ultimately responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables that meet business requirements.
- This role defines delivery structure and overall vision on projects and is responsible for overseeing and directing multiple projects within a given client relationship.
- Owns project definition, scope monitoring, budgeting & timing at the account level.
- As program lead, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and directing the activities of one or more project managers and senior project managers.
- Interfacing heavily with client senior executives, marketing, technical, and account management to assure that the solution is understood and addresses the client’s business requirements.
- In addition to the project responsibilities, this person is a key member of the Dieste Health account and manages a team of direct reports.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff.
Characteristics And Requirements
- 10+ years applicable experience as a Project Manager in an agency setting working on pharma/healthcare.
- Fully integrated (marketing, technical, digital, etc.) delivery experience is required.
- Healthcare or Pharma experience is required.
- Launch experience is strongly desired.
- Expert at project and program management
- Strategic program and tactical planning
- Solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk and develop detailed work plans and specifications.
- Comfort managing multi-disciplinary teams, which may consist of creatives, technologists, media experts, etc.
- Experience interfacing with clients and partner vendors on technical delivery projects
- Proficient in pharmaceutical submissions with Veeva Vault PromoMats, the leading platform for compliant promotional materials and digital asset management in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with the OPDP (Office of Prescription Drug Administration) submission/review process.
- Experience with launching DTC/HCP marketing communication campaigns and understanding of regulations of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry in the US. Multicultural pharmaceutical.
- Broader cross-channel patient communication experience
- General computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Prior internal team and client management experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships to gain trust and respect
- Confidence to lead teams and represent the agency
- Fosters effective teamwork and strong relationships
- Aptitude for looking beyond the obvious and probe further to solve business problems
- Adaptable and flexible
