We are hiring on a contract-to-hire basis, a Senior Project Manager as a part of our Business Transformation team who can engage in a variety of different initiatives to implement enhanced systems and solutions to drive internal operational enhancements. You will be involved in all aspects of these project initiatives from budgeting and planning, vendor discussion and negotiation, communication planning, executive level communication, and project execution. There is no single "playbook" to use for these projects as each will be unique. You will need to be comfortable in navigating the unknown, asking questions, and seeking information. You will need to have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to be successful. You also must be decisive when appropriate.
We are beginning our planning for our 2025 initiatives and you will be involved in this planning and preparation. We typically will target ten to twelve key projects for a fiscal year and then begin to execute on those. What experience should you have to be successful in this role?
- Eight ore more years project leadership experience with proven success in large, complex IT system implementations and other IT-related projects.
- Technically proficient with a broad understanding of system technology, various platforms, diverse application systems and tools, IT processes & controls and development methodologies.
- A proven track record of driving multiple, concurrent, complex IT implementation projects and teams.
- Ability to operates independently and reacts quickly.
- Experience in gathering and engaging in business process analysis.
- Achievements in developing strong, skillful, effective cross-functional IT project teams with an excellent customer service orientation.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues and customers.
- Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite including: Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Power BI. Experience with Smartsheet or Azure DevOps would also be a plus.
- Professional presentation skills.
- Competency in negotiating with and managing third parties.
- Business transformation experience, Six Sigma certification and a PMP certification would be a plus.
- Confident working with and interfacing with stakeholders across different parts of the business.
This role is 100% remote so you can live anywhere although we prefer someone in EST or CST as we are typically working EST hours. At times, this role could involved travel although the travel is very limited and only may be a week or so each year - depending on the project needs. We are looking for someone that could, over time, step up and lead this entire team potentially so there is room for growth in this role. Experience working in a health insurance network or carrier organization would be a plus.
