JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer (2-5 years) to join our team. In this role, you will
be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through the
development and execution of both manual and automated tests. The ideal candidate will be
detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering an exceptional user experience. You
will work closely with developers, product managers, and the support team to create
comprehensive test plans and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. As this is
a newly formed department, you will have the unique opportunity to be the first member of the
QA team and play a key role in building a resilient QA function as the company grows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for manual and automated
testing.
● Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with the development
team to resolve them.
● Ensure that test environments are properly set up and maintained.
● Participate in requirements review sessions to provide input on potential risks and
testability.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
● Perform regression testing to ensure new features and bug fixes do not negatively
impact existing functionality.
● Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback on the overall quality of the
product.
● Advocate for continuous improvements in testing processes and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
● 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
● Proficiency with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
● Experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
● Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools.
● Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and
version control systems (e.g., Git).
● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
NICE TO HAVE
● Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
● Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to write test scripts.
● Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or CircleCI.
● Experience working with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
● ISTQB or equivalent certification.
