Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst II with expertise in ServiceNow and a strong background in software testing. This role provides advanced support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes under broad guidance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical direction, analysis of alternatives, and interpreting complex requirements. The position demands the ability to work independently, demonstrating superior written and oral communication skills. Expertise in ServiceNow, as well as proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support and analysis in complex IT processes, particularly within the ServiceNow environment.
- Lead and conduct comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), across ServiceNow modules.
- Develop, document, and maintain test cases, scripts, and other QA artifacts to ensure software quality and compliance.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed testing plans and strategies.
- Conduct research to identify potential issues and solutions, providing insight into root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Independently develop and implement testing frameworks, automating where appropriate, to ensure efficient and thorough validation processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and end users to ensure that test plans align with requirements and that issues are resolved promptly.
- Provide detailed reports on testing activities, including defects identified and recommendations for improvement.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, best practices, and emerging ServiceNow features and capabilities.
- Offer support in technical direction and project coordination, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certification(s) such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist, or related certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of QA experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 years in ServiceNow testing.
- Strong proficiency in software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Expertise in developing test cases and scenarios for both manual and automated testing.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex systems, including in-depth ServiceNow module testing (ITSM, HR, etc.).
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, QTest, UFT, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate multiple solutions to a problem.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- An additional 4 years of experience and an Associate's degree or an additional 8 years of experience and a High School diploma or GED may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
- A Post Graduate Degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Post-graduate or advanced certifications in software testing, IT, or project management are highly desirable.
- Prior experience in government or healthcare IT systems is a plus.
