A globally recognized design powerhouse of residential and commercial properties, Lori Morris Design is an Interior Design firm that caters to the most discerning of clientele.
We are looking for a Project Manager to provide coverage for a twelve-month leave. This position has the possibility of becoming full-time.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Project Manager is responsible for managing a list of multiple projects regarding budget, finance and client management. The effective and efficient delivery of this role ensures client expectations are met and exceeded.
Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Project Manager has three key roles with regards to the management of a project; (1) Making sure that the client and Lori Morris’s requirements are met and/or exceeded, (2) To ensure the project, within it’s set scope of work is completed on time and (3) That the project, within its scope of work is completed on budget and follows finance protocols. (4) Create and manage Contemplated Changes or Trade POs for all design changes (prints and schedules) that effect trades, after plans are Issued for Construction with the support of all of LMD’s departments. Manages Google drive of drawings and schedules for client and trade/s. (5) Create and manage RFQs for all construction quoted through LMD when required including Addendums. (6) Manage the fabrication timing of all quoted construction on allocated projects. (7) Open and Close projects and ensure all areas affected are updated correctly and in a timely manner. (8) Manages and Coordinate meetings with clients, prepares for client meetings (presentation or financial budgets for deposit/review). Is responsible for collecting client payments. (9) Ensures or LMD quotes are signed/reviewed and accurate.
In order to achieve these roles as Project Manager, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. These skills will be applied when working with clients, suppliers as well as when working with LMD’s internal departments. This position requires an eye for detail. When reviewing project summaries and quotes, updating project budgets and all financial responsibilities for the project, entering SIs to ensure that all changes are clearly and correctly called out and described within the applicable prints and schedules as well as when creating and receiving RFQs to ensure that they contain all pertinent details and that any vendor entered comments are correctly addressed. Working with various types of trades to ensure that milestones and construction and design detail is complete on time and with accuracy.
A Project Manager must be able to multitask effectively. This multitasking not only applies to juggling their role as being an employee of LMD and also representing the best interests of the client but more importantly applies to constantly walking the delicate line between managing effectively and micromanaging.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Provide the Schedule Administrators the entire scope of work of a project (SOR, timing, special requirements and budget) with regards to correctly filling in all LMD schedules. Write MOMs
· Follow protocols for client sign-off on quotes, drawings and budgets
· Execute financial tasks for client payment allocations
· Communicate with clients on a very professional level
· Attend design presentations and client finance meetings
· Coordinate and facilitate site measurements and/or installation for the LMD related installations
· Drawing management; Ensuring drawings are approved as required & Provide drawing release timing
· Distribute drawings to all interested parties
· Track and ensure all interested parties have the correct drawing and schedule revisions
· Review all construction progress on a regular basis to ensure that construction is following latest released prints
· Procurement of all required items; Quoting efficiently and accurately, ordering efficiently and accurately and receive and ensure on time delivery
· Manage fabrication and procurement payments and timing
· Follow project timelines to manage the entire RFQ process for any construction being quoted through LMD.
This includes:
o Create RFQs / Distribute RFQs to required vendors
o Answer any questions and distribute these questions as well as any other required clarifications to all vendors that are part of the RFQ
o Upon receipt of deposit and approval from the client work with finance to obtain and distribute relevant POs to relevant vendors
o Notify all vendors of job award status
Must possess a current/valid driver’s licence and must be legally able to drive
Must possess a reliable vehicle for daily transit
