Position: Billing Associate
Hours: Full time
Work Pattern: Hybrid working arrangement requiring 2+ days per week in the City of London Headquarters, unless specified otherwise due to Government advice.

Job Purpose:
The Billing Associate is responsible for overseeing the billing processes within the Finance team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with client-specific invoicing systems. This role plays a critical part in managing the increased volume of manual billing work driven by client demands.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire billing process, from invoice generation to payment collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure that all invoices comply with client-specific requirements and are processed according to established procedures.
- Enter billing data accurately into the company's financial systems, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and reconciled with client accounts.
- Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in billing and payments, working with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and distribute regular billing reports to the Senior Credit Controller, highlighting key metrics such as outstanding payments, billing errors, and client feedback.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Credit Controller.
- Support other tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the O&F team.
Experience/Skills:
- Prior Insurance Market experience is advantageous
- The ability to organise and prioritise workloads under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong documentation skills with a high attention to detail
- A good team player who can also work from own initiative
- IT/Computer literacy
- Excellent numerical skills and the ability to examine data critically to extract commercial and actionable insights.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to be self-driven, pro-active, well organised and display strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate in a highly multidisciplinary and collaborative environment where effective exchange of knowledge between peers is crucial.

Location/travel
Based in UK. No international travels will be required.

Requirements
Education
University degree or equivalent in business, accounting, finance, in an analytical or technical field.
Language
Strong verbal and written communication skills: English.
Technology
Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, etc
Advanced Excel proficiency is advantageous
Business Understanding
Knowledge of the Insurance industry is advantageous
Salary range: 27k – 29k GBP p.a.
