Position Purpose/Summary:
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, contributing to the product vision, and working closely with product development, engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. A successful candidate (will have proven expertise in developing and managing product strategies) has an ability to understand market needs and works to address these opportunities.
This position (requires close collaboration with) marketing and sales to understand and positively impact the product roadmap to ensure that it is aligned with market trends. The right candidate will work with marketing to help define the go-to-market strategy by providing key product and market insights. The candidate will also serve as the internal and external expert for product offerings, working to support the sales channel and key customers.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships a. Work with external third parties to assess partnership opportunities b. Create ROI models for build vs. buy options (and evaluate partnership opportunities)
- Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation (to develop unique product positioning)
- Develop compelling and sustainable product positioning (based on thorough market analysis)
- Review and prioritize feature requests (in alignment with business strategy and user needs)
- Analyze product requirements including product pricing (based on market research), production costs, and anticipated demand (to ensure product feasibility and profitability)
- Keep up to date on competition and develop strategies and tactics to reduce threats (from competitors)
- Author and maintain product release notes, documentation, and help systems (to ensure comprehensive product support and user guidance)
- Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successfully achieved (including managing the product lifecycle from inception to retirement)
- Meet regularly with key customer-facing teams to collect and analyze user feedback (to refine product features and drive innovation)
- Have strong solution skills in translating customer needs into product functionalities
- With Product Development, co-develop a three-year product roadmap, inclusive of planned upgrades and enhancements
- Manage the entire product line lifecycle from sunsetting legacy products to testing and launching new features/products and ideas (to maintain product relevance and market fit)

Qualifications:
- Must have five or more years’ experience in product management or a similar role in telecom or a related industry (with a proven track record in product development and lifecycle management)
- BA/BS in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus)
- Prior experience in development or program management (is a plus)
- Tech-savvy and passionate about building innovative products
- Self-starter with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced business environment
- Strong project management and team-building skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others to achieve objectives
- Proven success in launching and scaling multiple products (from concept to market)
- Metrics-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
