Piper Maddox has been retained by a revolutionary ClimateTech company based in Texas, that is seeking a Head of Marketing & Commercial Development. This venture-backed company has developed a unique process to produce safer products at scale in a sustainable and cost-effective way. The company aims to pave the future for a safer, greener world by decarbonizing various industries.
The Director of Marketing will lead the marketing function, encompassing strategic sales and product marketing, branding, communications, and digital media efforts. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will develop market strategies, customer value propositions, and go-to-market plans to fuel customer and investor engagement and elevate the company's market position.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Product Marketing:
- Develop market maps outlining drivers, trends, demand, customers, and suppliers for target end-markets.
- Create go-to-market strategies and differentiated product and customer value propositions.
- Provide market and customer insights to product management and R&D teams.
- Collaborate with business development and sales teams on brand initiatives.
- Establish and grow target market share.
- Participate in implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) program.
Brand Marketing & Communications:
- Define key messaging and brand strategy.
- Develop and execute a 12-month marketing plan for owned and earned channels.
- Mentor and manage the Design Lead.
- Communicate insights from marketing initiatives across the company.
- Manage PR and marketing firms to execute long-term strategies.
- Create owned media opportunities (e.g., company podcast, thought leadership).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business (Marketing), or Science, Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial/marketing leadership roles.
- Proven success in high-touch, B2B marketing and sales cycles.
- Experience in high-growth, startup environments.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for sustainability and climate change initiatives.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related sectors is a plus.
