034Motorsport has a well respected and dynamic performance service center in the California Bay Area for the regular maintenance and high performance solutions on Audi and Volkswagen automobiles. As part of our plan to expand our service department, we have an opening available for a Service Advisor to come be part of our enthusiastic team. This position is located in our Fremont, CA facility, which houses our sales, service, product development, manufacturing, fabrication, machining, accounting, and shipping teams.
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hard-working Service Advisor to be the face and voice of 034Motorsport to our local customers. The primary role of the advisor consists of direct communication with customers via phone calls, email, and face to face interactions regarding project builds, performance installs, repair work and scheduled service on customer vehicles. This position is responsible for all customer communication, from initial contact, through completion of all repairs and services. Good listening skills and the ability to accurately note customer concerns is vital for success. An overall knowledge of the industry and product line will help greatly to advise customers of the best upgrades possible to fit their needs and budget. The Service Advisor will also be in charge of the creation and maintenance of detailed records for all work done by 034Motorsport, and held to the standards of the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
We are looking for someone to work as part of a tight-knit team, where the advisors work hand in hand with the technicians to schedule and maintain a centralized calendar for work in the shop. Proactively working with the technicians and other staff to make sure all scheduled work is done on time and to our high standards is a must for this role. In addition to maintaining the schedule, parts identification and working with Parts Department to ensure customer parts have been ordered and are available for customer work to be performed is an important aspect of the day to day role.
As automobiles become more and more embedded with electronics and technology, a service advisor will need to be able to stay current on modern technology, both on the cars, and with scan tools and online resources to help in the repair process such as parts identification, or labor estimation guides.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years as a Service Advisor in the automotive field, Audi/Volkswagen preferred.
- Proficiency in technical writing and ability to use word processing software.
- Can-do, proactive, problem solving attitude.
- Drive for positive and professional communication with others, both team members and customers.
- Ability to follow and embrace policies and procedures to ensure consistent department function and quality.
- Good overall mechanical aptitude, and ability to understand how parts and systems work.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Have at least a 2 years of driving experience with manual transmission.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to work hard and a self-motivated personality.
- A sense of urgency to consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Hours are for this position are full time 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday
