Job Summary
The marketing analyst provides valuable reports and insights to various marketing stakeholders, including, field marketing programs, events, email, and other related activities, to help maximize NetApp marketing investments to achieve business goals. The analyst will work with data in Marketo, Salesforce, CaliberMind, and other tools to identify trends, problems, and opportunities. The analyst will also create dashboards and reports in PowerBI for others to use on a self-service basis.
This role will require the analyst to apply creative data visualization techniques to tell the story that data indicates and utilize data modeling to develop forward-looking performance projections. Because the analyst relies on accurate data to do their work, they will continuously evaluate data fidelity and availability, and work with the data infrastructure team, IT, or marketing or sales operations to correct any problems.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans to institute relevant marketing performance evaluation and measurement
- Provide reliable, consistent, and accurate reporting against goals and benchmarks for marketing influence, demand generation, web performance, and marketing ROI, and other related measures
- Perform ad hoc data review and analysis in response to queries from stakeholder teams (digital marketing, field marketing, events, etc.)
- Provide valuable improvement or optimization insights through independent analysis of data
- Identify data inaccuracies, availability, or other data problems to the data infrastructure team or third-party agencies
- Empower stakeholder teams to perform their own analyses on items within their own responsibilities (e.g. providing useful reports and dashboards)
- Apply relevant data models (developed by data science teams) to advise stakeholders to achieve key business outcomes
- Act as a champion for a data-driven culture, evangelizing best practices with internal stakeholders across functional areas, markets and relevant WW functions
Job Requirements
- Ability to measure and analyze results of a program or project utilizing strong spreadsheet and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to leverage attribution models to analyze the customer journey
- Ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams
- Skilled at creating spreadsheets, presentations, and graphics
- Ability to present to teams and drive virtual projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales, marketing, or financial reporting and analysis role, preferably within a B2B marketing organization. Must have a proven track record of embedding data driven marketing skills and capabilities with marketing teams
- 3+ year’s experience using an enterprise-level analytics, CRM and visualization platforms in a B2B environment (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Marketo, SFDC)
- Strong leadership skills and communication skills to consolidate key findings and analytics into focused actions for marketing and Geo leadership. Must be able to influence a wide range of levels without authority.
- 3+ years working knowledge of demand generation KPIs and demonstrated ability to make budgeting recommendations
- 2+ years of experience writing, auditing, and optimizing complex SQL queries for large data sets
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, data science, or math. MBA is a plus.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $116K - $163K and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
