Responsibilities
Peraton requires Systems Engineers (GCCS) to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Systems Engineers-Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCS) perform tier three systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government’s software and hardware, Systems Engineers need advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users also is essential. Systems Engineers must be familiar with the systems engineering process and data as a fundamental building block for performance improvement. They develop policies and procedures, and participate in working groups, design reviews, and system tests. This position helps to generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations based on reviews. Systems Engineer (GCCS) require extensive knowledge of the development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance. Because of the broad range of demands Systems Engineers must meet, demonstrated strong project planning skills are . Systems Engineers (GCCS) need strong oral and written communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self-motivation. They must be able to work independently with little to no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers need while providing an unbiased opinion. They must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of operations and technologies, be able to multitask and work well under pressure, and stay abreast of industry developments and applicable Government regulations. Systems Engineers (GCCS) perform audits, operational analysis and risk assessments, makes recommendations for enhancing services, researches operational issues, and provides mitigation recommendations.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Providing management, system administration, planning, and operational support for C2 servers and client assets, including Microsoft Windows, UNIX/Solaris, and Linux/Red Hat systems
Administering and providing technical support for assets employed at approved global locations
Performing project management, including Configuration Management (CM)
Ensuring cybersecurity compliance for GCCS FoS assets
Performing any necessary actions required to respond to problem reports
Conducting system, security, and operational testing/evaluations
Providing support for fielding of future releases
Ensuring personnel and contractors are trained on the GCCS FoS and maintain an ongoing training program
Managing and administering the Radiant Mercury Cross Domain Solution (CDS) or other designated CDS in support of the GCCS mission
Planning, designing, and implementing system backup and recovery operations on GCCS FoS assets.
Providing management, system administration, planning, and operational support for C2 client assets, including Microsoft Windows systems
Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

Qualifications
Required:
5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA
A DoD TS clearance or above is required
DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification is required

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
