Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Asset Manager Lead/Project Manager in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities: Project Management:
- Lead and manage asset management projects, including the 3-year technical refresh cycle, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including OBIT, procurement, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth execution and alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Report project status, including progress, issues, and solutions, to senior management and stakeholders
Asset Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of NSF-owned IT hardware assets, including workstations and mobile devices
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures in line with the 3-year technical refresh cycle
- Track asset inventory, usage, and maintenance schedules using ServiceNow
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standardization initiatives (CCPP and CAMP), and regulatory requirements
- Analyze asset data to optimize usage and reduce costs, particularly focusing on warranty expiries and replacement planning
- Establish and manage a bench stock of IT hardware supplies within the IT Service Desk workspace
- Manage the procurement, deployment, and replacement of approximately 1,000 workstations annually, and ensure efficient upgrade of 170 handheld mobile devices
Requirements
- Master's degree and 8 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and 11 years of experience or High School diploma/GED and 17 years of experience
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)
- Experience in asset management or a related role
- Proficiency in ServiceNow
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
