Why is the position open:
They are going to be doing a Redesign of the App called App 2.0 which is going to heavily increase their workload and they only have one other person on the team doing this.
Notes from the call:
Must have experience writing UI Copy for mobile apps
Travel/Hospitality experience is highly preferred
Has experience writing for guest facing apps, with a fun and friendly style
Jira experience would be nice but if they don’t have it - they can teach
Familiarity with all MS tools, Collaboration tools they use Slack heavily and MS Teams
Figma is what the design team uses so will be working with that tool from time to time as well.

Key Responsibilities
Craft Clear and Concise UI Texts: Write user-friendly, intuitive, and engaging copy for mobile app interfaces, including navigation, buttons, error messages, informational text, and more.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that copy aligns with design and functionality.
Maintain Consistent Tone and Voice: Ensure all UI copy reflects the brand's voice and tone, creating a cohesive and seamless user experience.
Collaborate in User Testing and Research: Collaborate with UX researchers who conduct user testing sessions and gather feedback; iterate on copy to improve user experience.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in mobile app design, travel, tourism, and the cruise industry to inform and enhance your work.
Develop and Maintain Style Guides: Work with our Digital Content Development Manger to create and update documentation and guidelines for UI copywriting to ensure consistency across all digital products.
Qualifications
Experience with Mobile Apps: Proven experience in writing UI copy specifically for mobile applications is required.
Familiarity with Travel and Tourism: Understanding of the travel and tourism industry is highly desired.
Cruise Industry Experience: Familiarity or prior experience with the cruise industry is a significant advantage.
Excellent Writing and Editing Skills: Strong command of the English language, with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to craft precise and clear copy.
Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changes and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Project Management Tools: Familiarity with tools such as JIRA is preferred.
Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams is preferred.
Other Software Tools: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) is required; familiarity with Figma is preferred.
