About the Role:
As a Rare Disease Clinical Science Specialist in Liver Disease, you will be integral to a commercial field organization that places patients at the core of its mission. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding your territory's performance targets within the Rare Disease franchise, contributing to the broader national success. You will develop and implement long-term plans for your territory, focusing on each target account to generate appropriate use of Rare Disease products and grow sales over time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve or surpass objectives for assigned brands, including sales, market share, and other key performance indicators.
• Navigate complex multi-stakeholder organizations, including integrated networks, hospitals, and healthcare communities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to address customer needs with urgency and professionalism.
• Manage your assigned geography and customer accounts efficiently, prioritizing key physicians/accounts, reporting daily calls, and utilizing resources effectively.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, always prioritizing patient interests and adhering to company policies.
• Engage in detailed discussions with healthcare professionals using approved resources and messages consistent with product labels.
• Analyze market and customer data to support and execute strategic plans.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the payer and clinical landscape, particularly in specialty and rare diseases.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree: advanced degrees (MBA, MSc, Nursing) are a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of life-sciences experience, with at least 5 years in rare or specialty areas, and 3 years in specialty biopharma sales, marketing, or brand-related roles.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from data.
• Knowledge of market, disease, and product landscape.
• Excellent presentation, organization, administration, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal administrative support.
