Brooksource’s public sector client is seeking a Manual QA Tester to support their application testing team. In this role, you will be solely responsible for the manual testing requirements as the agency works to implement automation tools as a part of their future-state plan.
Daily responsibilities of the Candidate will include, but may not be limited to:
• Reviewing software requirements and user stories and preparing test scenarios.
• Designing and developing automation and manual testing scripts.
• Executing all testing levels (system, integration, and regression, etc.) to confirm software meets AGO requirements.
• Detecting tracking software defects and inconsistencies.
• Providing support documentation on defects and test results.
• Preparing reports on all aspects of the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Interacting with clients and/or vendors to understand product requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Providing timely reviews, designs, solutions and documentation as required.
• Applying quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
• Running and managing testing jobs and test calendars.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications of the Candidate:
• Candidate MUST be an Ohio resident.
• Candidate MUST be either a U.S. citizen or must possess the proper legal authorization to work in the U.S. for the type of job being sought.
• Candidate MUST possess the core undergraduate program coursework in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field or equivalent work experience,
• Candidate MUST have a minimum of four (4) years combined technology related work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis; developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications; performing testing, debugging, and code review; or assisting with analysis and design.
