LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Manger for their client located in Oakland County, MI. The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance across the manufacturing process. This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, improving quality processes, and overseeing a team of QA professionals. The role is vital in driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold product excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality assurance strategy.
- Lead the QA team to achieve departmental and company objectives, including performance management, training, and professional development.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish quality goals and report on quality metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure their implementation across all production processes.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of quality control documentation.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality-related issues.
- Implement continuous improvement programs to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring all regulatory and customer requirements are met.
- Prepare for and facilitate third-party inspections and certification audits.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented following audit findings.
- Oversee quality control processes for incoming raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality processes and standards.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality, safety, and compliance.
- Implement preventive measures to avoid quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in quality assurance within the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with quality management software and tools, ERP systems, and statistical process control.
