The successful candidate will assume the role within the Affordable Housing Unit. This position has overall responsibility for the management of the NYC Housing Lottery projects, to include advertisement campaign, lease up and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly master the knowledge base required to perform this role at a high level.
Responsibilities will include:
- Prospect, market, and track potentially eligible applicants.
- Perform Application Document Review.
- Collect required income and asset documentation from the applicants.
- Perform third-party verification of all income and assets utilizing the required forms.
- Conduct interviews with eligible prospects.
- Manage a schedule of weekly eligibility and apartment viewing appointments.
- Perform on-site walk-throughs of the apartments.
- Manage assigned residential development projects.
- Maintain proper documentation of the marketing process to demonstrate compliance with NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development requirements.
- Interact and coordinate with housing assistance case managers, as well as corresponding agencies such as NYCHA Section 8, HPD Section 8, and HRA.
- Respond to general questions about the process to either clients, applicants, or potential applicants.
- Prepare rent-stabilized leases and schedule lease signing.
- Interact with landlord-clients.
- Prepare and submit reports to the City agencies and clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Familiarity with the processing of NYC rental subsidies is preferred.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of relevant professional experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
