We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a comprehensive portfolio-wide rebrand for a global hotel developer, owner and operator. This role will involve managing multiple renovation projects across New York City and the North East, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through completion. The Project Manager will report into the SVP of Development, and be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring projects adhere to budget and schedule, and delivering high-quality results aligned with the brand’s vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Assembly: Assemble and manage teams of consultants, contractors, and other professionals required for successful project execution.
- Contract Management: Bid, award, and negotiate contracts; manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to financial and time constraints.
- Project Oversight: Oversee major hotel renovations, including room upgrades, amenities enhancements, and F&B program improvements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders; provide regular updates and manage expectations.
- Construction Management: Ensure projects comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards; address any issues that arise during construction.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience, seeing projects through from design through completion of construction.
- Industry Experience: Must have demonstrated experience in delivering interior renovation and new development projects within the hotel space; experience with elevated lifestyle brands is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations. Ability to read drawings and create preliminary project budgets and schedules.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions as the project owner while managing multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities.
