Job Overview:
We are seeking a
Consultative Computational Biologist with expertise in AI and data analytics to serve as a consultative strategic advisor and technical expert for decision-makers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for demonstrating the value of AI-driven computational biology solutions and guiding stakeholders toward implementing real-world proofs of concept (PoC) for leveraging AI technology in biological data analysis.
This role requires not only technical proficiency but also exceptional communication and consulting skills. The candidate will engage with business leaders, researchers, and scientific teams to understand their data challenges and effectively convey the benefits of AI-powered tools for solving complex biological problems. Ultimately, this individual will be pivotal in driving decisions that lead to the purchase and adoption of innovative AI solutions.

- Contract Duration: Up to 13 weeks (Part Time Role)
- Total Hours: 135 total hours over a13 week period (This is a Part Time Consulting Role)

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Consulting:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to decision-makers, offering consultative insights on how the Nvidia DGX AI platform and machine learning can be applied to their biological data challenges
- Identify key pain points and opportunities for leveraging AI technologies to deliver actionable insights from genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data
- Present data-driven recommendations that align AI solutions with the organization’s scientific and business goals
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to show, explain and convince them that Nvidia DGX AI solutions has tremendous potential for improved data analysis and interpretation
- Provide real world examples of where a customer's competitors is using AI to quickly analyze techical / medical data in an effort to create net new products and revenue streams
- Provide technical guidance as to how a PoC could be crafted to clear a pathway from concept to implementation
- Communicate the technical and business value of how an AI basedProof of Concept could be performed to help stakeholders understand the practical impact and short term and long term ROI
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Lead conversations with senior scientists, business executives, and research teams to explore the benefits of adopting AI technologies
- Translate complex technical details into easily understandable concepts that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build relationships across functional teams to ensure broad support for AI initiatives and long-term commitment to technology adoption
- AI & Data Analytics Expertise:
- Develop and present customized solutions using AI/ML models to analyze large-scale biological datasets
- Utilize cutting-edge algorithms and computational techniques to uncover insights from multi-omics data, offering solutions tailored to specific client needs
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and bioinformatics to deliver the latest technological solutions to clients
- Influence and Decision-Making:
- Proactively address concerns and barriers to AI adoption, using data and examples to overcome objections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and alignment with the proposed PoC
- Drive decisions that lead to the purchase and implementation of AI technologies by demonstrating their value and long-term benefits
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree with significant experience may be considered
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields with a focus on data analysis using AI/ML
- Proven track record of successfully consulting with clients and influencing decisions related to technology adoption
- Experience designing and presenting AI-driven proof of concepts to senior leadership and decision-makers
- Consultative Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experts
- Experience working with executives and scientific leaders to influence decision-making around AI adoption
- Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and facilitate decision-making processes across multidisciplinary teams
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in AI/ML applications for biological data, including genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data analysis
- Proficiency in Python, R, and other programming languages for developing machine learning models
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and platforms, including workflow automation tools (Snakemake, Nextflow)
- Familiarity with cloud-based computing solutions (AWS, Google Cloud) for scalable data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a consultative capacity, presenting AI solutions in a commercial or industry setting
- Ability to develop data visualizations, reports, and technical presentations that influence decision-making
- Knowledge of the biological research, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries is a plus
Tools & Software:
- Programming Languages: Python, R, or similar for AI and machine learning development
- Bioinformatics Tools: Familiarity with BLAST, BWA, and similar tools
- Platforms: Nvidia AI, Nvidia DGX, AWS, Google Cloud for deploying scalable solutions
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, or similar for collaboration
