Summary: Document Scanning Specialist I, is a broad classification for a skill level designed for position as document scanner technician. These duties will encompass a full range of document scanning (Large and small format). You will then organize and archive scanned originals into client’s digitized document folders. We create quality searchable scans. Our goal is to produce PDF’s from originals that are legible and usable for their intended purposes.
General Responsibilities:
- Document Scanning Specialist I, responsibility would be scanning paper documents into digital format.
- Ability to use and/or quickly learn basic network folder archiving and operate small and large format scanning equipment typically used in our operations.
- Organizing and preparing documents for scanning, which may include removing staples, paper clips, and other bindings.
- Indexing and categorizing scanned documents for easy retrieval.
- Verifying accuracy of scanned documents, ensuring that they match original hard copy (QAQC).
- Ability to work within a diverse environment and be service oriented in working with customers which include staff, clients and vendors and to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the scanning department.

- Ability to follow and comply with all safety and work rule regulations.
Required Education:
- High school education or equivalent required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience within a professional office environment.
- Excellent computer literacy with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and service desk systems.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about the workplace; remain in a stationary position for 80% of the time; ascend/descend a step ladder; extend hands and arms in any direction; handle and manipulate some hand tools; stoop, kneel, crouch, lift or move paper boxes up to 30 pounds.
