The Opportunity
Are you passionate about shaping the DNA of talent and people operations at a high-growth startup? If so, this is the role for you! As the People Ops Lead, you'll be hands-on, driving how we hire, manage, and develop our workforce while championing the culture at Coverdash. This role starts as an individual contributor position with the potential to build and lead your own team over time.
Key Responsibilities
- People programs
- Source, recruit, and hire high quality talent, especially for our rapidly growing insurance sales team
- Create scalable onboarding experiences
- Help build training and development for employees (both new and existing)
- Drive performance reviews and feedback
- Day-to-day operations
- Evolve and manage HR policies
- Maintain legal compliance for HR and company operations
- Handle payroll and other HR-related systems
- Employee engagement and culture
- Foster a collaborative, motivated, and positive work environment
- Lead efforts to support employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Strategy
- Work with leadership to design hiring plans and budgets
- Optimize people processes and systems as we continue to grow
Who You Are
- Minimum 4 years experience in People Ops/Talent/HR working across all HR functions (e.g. hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, etc.)
- High EQ especially for building interpersonal relationships and handling challenging work situations
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-energy dynamic setting
- Strong individual contributor who can work autonomously but also collaborate with individuals at all levels of the org
- Preference for those based in NYC area who can come in office 4 days a week, but open to remote hires
