Role Description
We are seeking a Desktop Engineer to join our team at TruU, Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a full-time, on-site role with both internal and customer-facing responsibilities. You will manage and troubleshoot desktop environments, providing technical support for both internal teams and customers. Your role will include resolving operational challenges related to hardware, software, and system configuration, as well as assisting customers with the deployment and use of TruU's passwordless solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support for desktop computers, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Manage operating systems, system updates, and software installations across the organization.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize desktop environments, ensuring compliance with internal security policies.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and work closely with customers to diagnose and resolve desktop-related issues.
- Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, group policies, and registry settings for desktop systems.
- Implement and manage Azure Active Directory, Azure Conditional Access Policies, and MDM/Intune solutions for both internal use and customer environments.
- Assist customers with the deployment and configuration of TruU solutions, troubleshooting technical issues related to desktop environments.
- Work with identity management tools such as Okta for user provisioning and access management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with desktop support, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, group policies, and registry settings.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure Conditional Access, and Okta.
- Proficiency in Intune and MDM solutions for managing mobile devices and desktops.
- Experience working directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve desktop and system configuration issues.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software installation processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent are highly desirable.
