As a Junior Product Manager, you will work closely with the product, engineering, and design teams to deliver world-class products. You will assist in the product lifecycle, from ideation to execution, ensuring a seamless experience for end-users while maximizing product impact. This is a perfect opportunity for a self-starter with strong technical understanding and experience in systems engineering, looking to grow within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Collaborate with senior product managers and stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap based on market needs and business goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, design, marketing, and business teams to prioritize product features and ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct market research, analyze customer feedback, and gather requirements to define new features and product improvements.
- User-Centric Approach: Maintain a deep understanding of user needs through data analysis, user interviews, and feedback loops, ensuring product decisions align with user expectations.
- Backlog Management: Assist in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring clarity in features, technical specs, and timelines.
- Product Lifecycle: Support the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, specification, development, launch, and post-launch iteration.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics tools to measure product success, drive insights, and influence future product decisions.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in product management, or a related role.
- Technical Background: Solid understanding of technical product development, or equivalent technical expertise, to work closely with engineers in delivering technically sound products.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in market research, user behavior analysis, and product performance metrics.
- Product Development Lifecycle: Demonstrated experience working in all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to post-launch analysis.
- Cross-functional Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools: Experience using product management and collaboration tools (e.g., Linear, Notion, Figma).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Growth Experience at a Startup: Experience working in a startup environment working through product development and growth lifecycles.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Proficiency in using tools like SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar data tools to inform product decisions.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in working within tech, e-commerce, or similar fast-paced industries.
- Customer-Centric Focus: Prior experience conducting user interviews, A/B testing, or building customer personas.
- InsurTech experience is a plus

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to the base salary, Harbor offers PTO, sick time, a hybrid work environment (in-office in the NYC area 1-2 days per week), medical, dental and vision benefits for the employee, as well as access to an employee equity pool.
