Whimstay is searching for a talented, creative, and energetic Social Media Manager to build and manage our brand’s social media presence. This role will be responsible for driving engagement, building our online community, and supporting our customer acquisition efforts with fresh, high-quality content. You’ll create captivating social media content, including photos and videos, while managing our social calendar and keeping up with the latest trends in the fast-moving world of social media.
You’re a natural storyteller, and you understand how to craft engaging visuals and messaging that spark excitement and get people talking. You’ll be the voice of Whimstay across all our social channels—whether that’s TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X, Threads, or YouTube—where you'll manage community interactions, keep us trending, and represent the brand in a way that aligns with our values.

Responsibilities:
- Create Engaging Content: Be the star behind our social channels. You’ll develop, curate, and manage all published content (photos, graphics, and video), ensuring everything you produce aligns with our brand and business objectives.
- Strategic Social Management: Own and manage the social media calendar, integrating company updates, seasonal trends, and new campaigns. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and optimizing content across all platforms.
- On-Camera & Behind the Scenes: Whether it’s jumping in front of the camera or directing content from others, you bring authenticity, humor, wit, and relatability to everything we create. You’re comfortable both being the face of our brand and also guiding third-party creators when needed.
- Community Engagement: Respond to comments and DMs with an empathetic, upbeat, and on-brand tone, keeping our community engaged and happy. You’ll represent Whimstay’s voice and values across all platforms.
- Trend Spotter: Stay ahead of social media trends and experiment with new ideas, always looking for new ways to drive engagement and boost our social presence.
- Analyze & Optimize: Track and analyze metrics to measure the success of campaigns and content. You’ll be the go-to for insights and benchmarks, always looking for ways to improve and adjust strategies based on data.

- Detail-Oriented: You ensure that every post is polished and perfect, with a sharp eye for catching errors before they go live.
- Collaborative & Strategic: You’re able to take in feedback, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality content that meets cross-functional goals.
- Self-Starter: You’re full of ideas, always spotting new opportunities, and bringing fresh perspectives to the table.
- Empathetic & Patient: You know how to handle public communication with professionalism and care, addressing community concerns promptly while maintaining our positive brand image.
- Data-Driven: You love digging into analytics to understand performance and are constantly thinking of ways to improve based on what you learn.
- Trend-Savvy: You’re passionate about social media and always have your eye on the next big thing.
- Experience: 3+ years of social media content creation and community management with a track record of driving growth.
- Proficient in Design & Editing: Experience with tools like Canva and Adobe Premiere, along with in-app functionalities for editing images and videos across social platforms. You know how to take and edit high-quality photos and videos.
Portfolio Requirement:
To be considered for this position, applicants selected for the first round of interviews will be asked to submit a portfolio of their social media work, showcasing their creativity and impact.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with the flexibility to manage posts during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Travel: Must be willing to work in-office in Danville, CA, 1-2 times per month.
